Sealed With A List

Carley Wu’s got a serious case of the “blahs”. She moved to NYC from Knoxville 2 years ago to pursue her dream of being an event planner, but ended up as an HR drone in the corporate office of the country’s largest party supplies chain, Celebration Central. She’s stuck in a rut that’s 180 degrees beyond what she imagined her glamorous city-living would be — zero freelance gigs, a best friend who’s too busy pursuing his new career as a bounty hunter to keep her social life afloat, and absolutely zilch on the romance front. The vision board she crafted on January 1st – complete with resolutions for every aspect of her existence – has been crumpled in a closet since February, a reminder of her failure to follow-through on her goals.

When the CEO’s irresponsible and entitled son, Wyatt, screws up a potential corporate partnership and Carley is fired, he attempts to atone for his behavior. He challenges her to accomplish all her resolutions (including finding a paying gig as an event planner) and pledges his assistance as a “resolutions coach”. Carley grudgingly agrees to a partnership – but only if he will simultaneously pursue one of his own goals and find a way to rehire her if their plan fails.

During the month, Carley and Wyatt confront their fears and anxieties as they set off to transform the careers, relationships and self-imposed limitations that have held them back for years. They embrace their alliance while warming up to the idea that perhaps this 31-day project is more enduring than either of them bargained for – perhaps it’s the very ingredient that was absent from their lives.
