Synopsis
Based on the Providence Falls series by Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets, this time-travelling romantic trilogy of movies incorporates multiple genres. It combines elements of a police procedural with a dash of fantasy as it moves from 19th century Ireland to Heaven’s Department of Destiny to a modern-day police department. The three movies span centuries and celestial realms as they explore the theme of how fate shapes our lives and loves. We follow LIAM, a charming rogue from 1844 Ireland, who is dropped in the modern day and charged with making sure CORA, the reincarnated love of his life from Ireland, ends up with her true soulmate FINN in order to save the world. But Cora isn’t simply destiny’s pawn – she has a mind and a heart of her own, and she proves harder to steer than anyone could have anticipated. The two of them team up to solve a string of crimes that echo ones that took place nearly two centuries ago. As they do, Liam tries to get her to fall for her true soulmate while fighting his own love for her. Add into the mix meddling Angels and interfering Demons, and it soon becomes clear that changing the course of destiny will prove harder than anyone thought.
